THE PLANNING *gasp
I have already finished taking all the pictures at this point and had a basic idea in mind about the theme and layout. But I wasn't sure about some of the exact details and how to make them visualized on paper, so I was looking for collages and ideas on rednote(a Chinese app). Here are some that I really liked and took the inspiration from. As you may have noticed, there's a few pictures about sewing on paper. I was originally planning on using that on some of my pages but it seemed a bit redundant so I just didn't.
Here's some of the materials I gathered for the photobook and the "notes" I took while brainstorming.
I was specifically looking for some pictures about the kind of picture people would use for funerals ( not only funerals, to be precise, it is just commonly when someone is dead, like it can also be placed in home to memorize and to show this person is deceased.) in China because I wanted to make the last page of my first photobook about that. Which also gave me the idea for the whole book: erasing one's identity/existence.

I also really wanted to make a page about eyes. I've always kinda have this thing for eyes. And I know it's a bit of a cliche but I really like the saying " eyes are the window to the soul".
To have more understanding about exactly what kind of binding method we are going to use, I also looked up Japanese stab binding on google and found out that there's plenty different ways to do it. I really liked some of the decorative ones, and am considering of using some of them in the future for my personal books.
